The guys at my shop succeeded in breaking my frame while they had the car in for some repairs. Nice!! Now I find myself in need of one of these again. I just replaced the thing when I got the car last fall. Can't believe this is happening but hope someone can help me out. Thanks! Chuck
You can let weld it. I used that service frm somebody in Switzerland who has the equipment. I'm sure you will find somebody in the US who can do that.
Thanks Roger. I was going to have that done as a last resort. I'd rather have a unbroken one if possible.
If you can't find I can do a rechromed vent frame. Email me at sales@cadillacsonly.com

Does the SDV have the little "lock slider" on the inside?
I have some around here but not sure as I have used the same ones on convertibles
Yes, the window has the lock slider. I believe that the coupe and convertible are the same but the Sedan DeVille is a different bird. I have found one yesterday and it is coming from Texas Tuesday. Hope it is not too rugged.

Coupe and convertible are definitely different.
SDV and Convertible are almost identical other than the slider lock from what I recall.
Guys,
The MPB shows every 1956 body style, coupe, SDV & conv. different. Can they be adapted?? I don't know.
