Title: 1964 Cadillac 62 series molded heater hose
Post by: Mike Kuchta on July 21, 2012, 04:27:19 PM
Looking for a vendor to purchase original or original replacement molded heater hose for my 1964 cadillac 62 series 429 with AC. this is the 3/4" hose from the water pump directly to the upper heater core. There is a slight chance these are original as it has a GM part number 1484262 on it BUT all the clamps have definitely been changed. The 5/8" hose to the control valve could be original but no GM # and from control valve to core has been changed to Gates straight 5/8" hose. Any suggestions?  I had to repair the radiator and will be replacing the rad hoses and heater hoses while the cooling system is drained.
Also has anyone used OPGI for the replacement rad hoses and the original style hose clamps? Like or dislike?

Thanks for reading and looking forward to being a CADILLAC owner!!

The Tower Radiator House Clamps from OPGI are very flimsy!  I bought a set and after installing, removing and trying to retighten they were twisting out of shape and removed and went back to the newer style clamps until I can find something of quality.
