Hello, my name is Andy and I am new to the forum. I just picked up this 1941 I am looking to restore it. I No it doesn't look like much, but the end result is beautiful in my mind. I am looking for some help in finding pics of what the correct interior for this year is. i've been looking online and cant really seem to find any good shots. Anyone out there have a good source to help out a Newbee. Thanks ;D
Also, I was wondering if all these came with the woodgraining on the dash and window trim? I've seen them both ways. Thanks

I'd say the first thing you'd want to do is to get a copy of Roy Schneider's book, "Cadillacs of the Forties." Then get the authentication guide from CLC. There are great pictures of the interiors of these cars in both of those sources. According to what I've heard most 61's and 62's had a standard interior which included the 3 spoke steering wheel (non "ivory") and leatherette scuff pads at the door bottoms with 5 vertical tucks and chrome trim on the door panels as well. 61 series cars were over 40% of production of 1941 Cadillacs, but I don't think they're considered "classics" by ACCA as of yet. I've been told that the trunk material is the same for all '41's and complete kits are available. Some owners of all varietie's opted for "leather upgrades." That looks like a nice car. I'm finishing up a coupe right now, but there are a number of guys here who are working on sedans.
