Hello guys. I have an 1984 Eldorado convertible and I need a drivers side quarter window because someone broke mines. I heard that The Tornado, & Riviera convertibles around the same years use the same window, is this correct? I know finding a parts car is going to be almost impossible so is there a place where I can go or a site that will sell the window I need? any help would be appreciated!
Darius
Darius,
There were at least two different companies that did convertible conversions for the 84/5 Eldorados.
If your car is a Biarritz model it is most probably an ASC conversion. They did 2300 of each year and the rear quarter windows are very hard to find. I have seen them on ebay for in the $500 to $600 range.
Take a look on the edge of your driver's door. There should be a sticker on it with the name of American Sunroof Corp, Or ASC as the company that modified the car. The other name could be Hess & Eisenhardt, but it's 99 percent ASC.
If you email me a photo of the side of your car I may be able to help you with a window.
Mail it to " rachlin@comcast.net "
Thanks,
Brian
