Post by: Richard gottshall on January 21, 2013, 02:17:20 PM
I am in need of both door garnish mouldings for my 1938 LaSalle Convertible Coupe.  (I think this is the correct term for the moulding that is on the top of the interionr door panel).  Any condition accecpted.  Either one or both.  Any help or leads will be appreciated.  Thanks, Richard Gottshall CLC 10430

Yes, that's a nasty one to try and find Richard, they were missing on my 37 convertible and I never did see any for sale in 7 years. I eventually found some from a Buick coupe, cut 3/4 of them away and modified the ends, they had to be painted of coarse after that work but beggars cant be choosers. They were very thin on the Fisher bodies and used to rust very badly. Of 4no 1937 Fisher convertible bodies in 30 years I have never had a pair I considered decent but you may get lucky. they are the same for most GM bodies 37-38.
