Title: WTB stock steel wheels to fit a 1977 Eldorado
Post by: cadcruiser on March 06, 2013, 05:35:50 PM
I have two wheels (rims) on my Eldo that are extremely out of round that I must replace. I have purchased a few wheels this year that ended up being just as bad as the ones I already have. If you have any of these Eldorado wheels that are nice and round that you would be willing to sell, I would greatly appeciate hearing from you.

Best regards,

I have a set of four.

They seem OK to me with minor dings on the outer edge of the rim.

Email me at " rachlin@comcast.net ".

I can take pics if you like.

Guys,
Before you ship those wheels, they need to be spun on a tire  balance machine. They are very prone to side to side  & out of round problems.

Bob,

That's a good idea.  That way I can check for runout.

Brian,

Thank you for the response. There was a guy in the Eldorado group that had offered to sell me a few rims, but he works out of state away from where his cars and parts are located and he can't send them to me until May. I really want to take care of this sooner than the summer driving season. I have done exactly as Bob suggested and spun my rims on a balancer. This is why I am sure that the rims I have are bad. I tried sending a rim to a specialty shop that was supposed to be able to straighten them, but that was a colossal waste of time and money. I will e-mail you and we can discuss this further.

Thank you,
Todd
