Title: WTB vacuum regulator valve switch
Post by: Roger Zimmermann on March 14, 2013, 08:09:20 AM
For a 1982 Eldorado with the diesel engine, a friend of mine is searching the vacuum regulator valve switch which is installed on the injection pump. This switch allows the torque converter to lock-up. The attached pictures are showing the defective switch.
I'm aware that these parts may be difficult to find...but, who knows!

No luck with that! Or are people waiting for better weather to look at their parts for sale?

If I come across one I will surely let you know. Not too many of those diesels around as you know Im sure.

Thank you William for the answer. As I had no reaction, I told the owner that I cannot help. As I'm not a fan for those engines, the less I have to do with them, the better I am!

Roger,

Thank you Roy for your research, even if it was by accident! The part number is not listed in my Cadillac MPB but, at least, I know in which group this part is!
As it's not my own car and not knowing diesel engines, I told the owner that I don't search further.
