Ok I now know I need a jaeger fleetwood 8 day clock for 1936 caddy
Jaeger made lots of clocks and in various configurations. If you can not find the correct one possibly you can find one close to authentic and have a restorer do new graphics on the face. Also often they are converted to a modern movement. Hopefully someone will have the clock or one that can be converted to meet your needs. A picture would be helpful if you would be going that route.
Quartz movements can also be installed in your original clock if you have one, but they don't tick nor jump form minute to minute so if showing at a Cadillac LaSalle judged show you would lose a few points.
Good luck!!
Ah the joys of restoring classic cars eh?
Gary
Thanks for he response I found one today.....I have another question you may be able to answer...right below the divider window on the back of the front bench is a metal triangle shaped piece with a knob...what is that called and what is its purpose
Thanks again
Could it be the rear ashtray?
Yes. That's what it is. Ty. Now I have to find one
I may have part of one. I need to go out back and check.
Barry ...Do you think you also have a '38 Fleetwood Eight Day Clock ? bb
Thanks Barry let me know
Bruce,
You got me on the 38 Fleetwood 8 day clock. In the divider there is a small square clock but it is electric. Same for 38, 39 and 40 75 and 90 series cars.
Brad...That's the one I need ...( with the art deco graphics ) ! bb
