I ordered new battery cables for my 68 Eldorado from a vendor who I'd prefer not to name because they suck. The vendor that is.
I dropped them off to my mechanic along with some other parts for installation. I never noticed that the new cables were the "Spring-Ring" type.
I recently had the hood open and another guy spotted them.
"How are you going to get those disconnected?" was his question. I was shocked to see them.
So is there a special tool you use to unhook them from your battery?
Oh, another option for your battery is using a "topper" on your modern battery.

Medium channel lock pliers open to 2nd groove and they are about the easiest thing you will ever remove or disconnect from your car. The prongs are designed to squeeze in to a point releasing pressure. A simple but eloquent and functional design.

I want to go back and add a couple pictures installing the small ground strap at bottom of Negative cable. For anyone looking for this setup for their 63/64, I ordered a 2nd set of the correct length 69 Camaro cables and will add that ground strap to bottom and put up for sale.
