The WSJ did a small snippet about my collection of Cadillacs that I acquired from my friend Robert. Many of you on the west coast might have known Robert since he was a regular at many of the swap meets. The article comes out in the hard copy tomorrow.
Cheers!

Great article and pictures. What are your plans for collection and parts?
Joe
That's pretty sweet plus quite a collection of parts to boot. I'm quite envious!
Joe, I'm in the process of putting as many of the cars together as I can to make them complete, running, and driving cars as Robert would have liked. Many will be sold since I don't have room, time, or money to do all of them. I will keep Rust Bucket and plan to restore a 53 CDV and also a 50 series 61 coupe. I also plan to keep a nice original 53 series 60 special Fleetwood that I have since got running. I still have a 50 convertible that is first in line when my garage gets built. As you can see, I have a lifetime supply of project cars!
Cheers
Allen
Well Allen, that quite a collection you've gotten (or gotten into) ;) in one fell swoop!
Congratulations, both on your acquisition as well as the recognition you've received from the WSJ.
I'm sure there's plenty there to keep you busy for a good long time.
Best of luck.
Eric
Very cool story!
Sorry for the loss of your friend.
Congratulations, for saving his collection of Cadillacs, and at least one Buick. Nice article.
David
Nice article and I wish you the best with your collection.
Sometimes it's better to beg for forgiveness rather than ask for permission!
All kidding aside, if you want some PA or NJ cars, we can definitely get you a real rust bucket.
Brian
Nice article . . . Good Luck and hope to see some of those restored cars back on the road! Even the 1952 Buick is nice!
Yes, you guys have a good eye. There were also two Oldsmobiles ('50 98 coupe and a '51 88 2 door sedan) that I've sold. I am keeping the 51 Buick 45R, it was also one of Robert's daily drivers that I've since gotten running, that straight 8 purrs like a kitten.
I'm getting great feedback from Roberts family and friends, all are glad that the collection has been put to good use. Thanks for the kind comments.
Allen
Allen,
You lucky duck.
Some people go through life looking for a single car, and you "dude" have a lifetime of cars all at once.
What a great and sad story about your friend, and it just proves up - the right time, at the right place.
Keeping on his tradition is a testament to your strength of friendship and integrity.
Have fun,
Steve B.

Great story Allen! Watch 76Eldo's cars from New Jersey....there may not be any floorboards!!!
The best of luck and I am looking forward to seeing them up and running, and more pictures!!!
Hello Allen
Gratulantur on your acquisition.
Allen,
Congratulations and Good luck! Fortunately, You happen to live in the most perfect climate for that type of deal. Where I am in the Northeast, the storage fees would definitely outweigh the cost factor of all those cars/parts. Nevertheless, I still envy You. You are One Lucky Dog! :D
Bobby
Yes, lucky to get the collection and lucky to be on the west coast. It is a ton of work, and I still haven't gone through everything, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. We currently have plans being drawn for 10 car garage, once that is built, I can really get to work on them.
Thanks,
Allen
It must feel like Christmas every day! I love the feeling when the delivery man comes to my house with packages for projects. You gotta' Love it! Yeah, You might be Overwhelmed…..but it's ALL GOOD! ;D
