WTB or rent a bullet installing tool for the star clips in a 59 Cadillac grill.....

Gene, I saw your car at the GN but I am not sure I ever met you, did you attend the seminar put on by Castle Cadillac ? Mr Semke just uses some good needle nose pliers and some patience, he also mentioned a bent piece of vacuum tubing on the inside top of the bullet to replace the hard rubber piece, I myself used a wide wood chisel to tap the clips back in.
Marty,,, yes I was there... just though I would see what response I get.. talked to the guy who made them.. sold out , not making any more. has some for a 61..
thanks,, Gene
If you need new clips, I have them.

I used screen cord inside my bullets.
that's a good idea,,, I will try that.. got about half of the bullets buffed out, just few at time.....
Gene
gene,
I mounted mine in a pencil, eraser end. Took up slack with 3/4" tape. Worked great.
I used the bent vacuum hose to keep it from rattling and pushed the star clip on with a socket that is just larger than the back of the bullet and smaller than the outside of the clip and it slides right on. You have to straighten the clip a bit after wrestling it out of position with needle nose pliers. I've done both the 59 and 60 this way.
