Need help from some 1937 Cadillac experts....I am purchasing a '37 Fleetwood Series 75 but have some authenticity concerns...
The car is a dark blue 4 door. dual sidemounts, 138 inch WB, with an original black vinyl wrap roof and chrome landau bars at the back roofline (very formal looking). The back of the car has the sloped back or hidden trunk design which is very sleek. The interior has the divider window, with two jump seats in the back that fold down. The original ID plate shows 37 7509-F and the Paint code has an unusual "SO-1107" (The 'SO' is stamped in smaller font) I am told the 'SO' means 'special order' perhaps for the landau irons, but I don't know? Can someone help me to understand what is the model name for this car (5 passenger or 7 passenger, limo) and does this description seem authentic? The landau bars look very authentic like they belong but I have not seen any other example with this feature. Many thanks for your help...
Yours is a 'Formal limousine' The 'F' standing for no trunk. SO is indeed Special Order and could be for anything. A copy of the build sheet from Allied Vaughn may tell you more.
Stevo,
Have to disagree. The F stands for formal, the 09 is the trunkless body style. All the other info is correct.

You are right Bob. I was too hasty there as usual. :-[
How many pints do you owe me now??? When I visit you I'll be drunk the whole time. LOL!!!
Bob
If you mean our warm beer your welcome to it ;D?
Ditch the landau bars. They're not original.
Could that be part of the SO John??
