Hello, we have been lining up the front sheet metal on my '37 60, it is fitting better than it ever has but my question is the amount of space between the bottom of the hood side panel and the top of the fender. My gap is even all the way but seems to be huge- maybe an inch+-. How much gap should there be? It's almost like its a space for hot air to exit, or snow to go in of course if the car were black it would disappear as in my last one but I can't remember how the gap was on it. Thanks D. Varney
I don't think that Cadillac would ever have that much opening. Is your padding too thick on the cowl and radiator? Did you swap hoods with another Series? (Long shot, just asking.) Steve, help.
One inch?? wow, that is a bit excessive. About 1/2" should be more like it. How does it line up with the mouldings on the cowl and front clip? It its not in line at the top look to what Barry suggested with the padding.
No padding in place, like I said, it fits cowl, nose , fenders , all better than ever and I can't say about the hood 100%, but wouldn't it be longer if from a larger series- I have probably five hoods and they are all the same length. Thanks for your replies,,Olds dude
