Hi everyone. Got my '37 LaSalle door handle back from the plater. When assembling, the small shaft that operates the locking pawl will not move the pawl smoothly. I noticed that the small offset pin ( on the end ) is not completely round. I am in need of a good used one. So if anybody has a used locking handle that could part with the small shaft. Would also be interested in buying a better pawl also. If you need length of the small shaft, I can get... Thanks... John C. Lehman... CLC # 26365...
John,
Here they are.

Hi Bob. Thanks for the photos. Are you willing to part out the 5/16" shaft that is 3 11/16" long from your handle ? I would like to get another pawl too. And if you are willing to part out the handle, could you tell me if the small pin on the end of the 5/16" shaft is round? Thanks again... John C. Lehman... CLC # 26365...
John,
Realistically... why would I part it??? Buy the whole thing & take what you want.
Bob
Bob, what is the length of the outer shaft ? From what members on this site comment that there is a difference according to what model you have. Please measure from the edge of the door handle to the bottom of the shaft. And what would you like for the handle ? Thanks .... John...
John,
I sent you another private message thru the system. Please respond directly to bobscads@comcast.net
Thanks, Bob
Did you get fixed up with the door handle parts?
