As most of the 65-70 owners are likely aware (and likely everyone else), the door pulls are held on with a couple large screws. Unlike other cars that might have been screwed in at 90 degrees, Cadillac had to do this at round 60 degrees on one direction and 65 on another.
So here is the problem.
- The screw holes are no longer small enough to keep the pull tight
- The screw heads need to be small to fit in the door pull
- Any larger screw is going to have a HUGE head that wont fit
I had thought of using rivnuts, but those don't seem to be available at an angle.
Any thoughts???

I used a slightly wider screw. It probably wrecked up the thread pattern on the receiver but it worked. I agree- hard to find a screw with a larger size but small head. Check out Fastenal, or http://www.rjlautofasteners.com/ (http://www.rjlautofasteners.com/).
