Title: 1969 limo corner light rubbers out of shape ...
Post by: 1969cadillac on October 21, 2018, 08:23:04 PM
hello - pls see pics attached of corner light rubbers

as you can see they are bent out of shape …

both bumper ends were NOT sitting squarely with body so this has caused the problem!

Q. is there any way to put them back in shape so that they FIT nicely??

your thoughts are appreciated , thx

Nope -- there is no way to reshape those.  They
are made of polyurethane and I'm surprised that
they are still intact and not cracked.

Get replacements as they are being reproduced.
Try these folks -- good to deal with.

You could try a heat gun, warm them up a little and re install them?,at this point you have nothing to lose?not sure where you live, but if it is real hot outside i would set them in the sun for a couple of hours, might help,i would be gentle with them so they dont crack when you flex them.
