A dealer can't at least detail it?
Those are 35,000 mile seats?.... how about the dash pad?
Seems a bit off. Good luck getting 6495. Not likely.
Color is a negative in my opinion, so with that color it needs to be mint. No excuses to get top dollar.
Brown is a tough color for most of the collectors. As for the leather, it seems about right for a car that did NOT receive regular leather conditioning.
I don't have much quarrel with the price. I think if you were a cash buyer, showed up with $5500, you could drive it away. And if it is a true 35,300 mile car - that is pretty good.
I like brown. It's a color and palette I have always liked. But most of the browns I have seen have cloth interior, and the dark saddle leather is a ++ to me on this one.
Also, a bit unrelated, but was just thinking about it. I set my searches up to 1981, all Cadillacs, and rarely see a 1980 or 1981 CdV. Did production drop way off in 1980?
1979 total model year production was ~ 385,000 (all time record); 1980 dropped to ~ 230,000 (IIRC) do to sharply higher fuel prices at the time. Model year sales steadily improved thereafter throughout the 1980s.
A lot of '76 models were preserved due to being the final year before the downsized models in addition to the many '76 Eldorado convertibles that were saved - so there are plenty of them around today. Tri7s are also still around in good numbers to the high production in these three years but 1980 is comparatively rare.

I was thinking the exact same thing! 135K more likely.

Higher gas prices, high interest rates, etc all contributed to a sales/production downturn not just for Cadillac but the auto industry overall in 1980. 1980 Cadillac model year production was around 231K compared to around 381K in 1979. Calendar year sales went from around 314K in 1979 to 213K in 1980.
However, there does appear to be a decent number of 1980 and 1981 Coupe deVilles for sale on Craigslist.

I am with you Dave, plus the passenger seat looks like that too. Hard to believe.
