I purchased this engine and transmission over 20 years ago, "installed" it in my 1937 LaSalle coupe. It appears as though there was not really an installation as the motor mounts seem to fit the existing ones. I did no more to t he car and gave it to a friend.I have no memory of the condition of the engine but seem to recall it came out of a running vehicle. The engine/transmission are still in the car and I will pull them soon.I checked the engine number and it is a 1974-76 engine. I want to sell the combination as I am reinstalling a flathead. Price $350. Location Madison, IN

I am interested will the engine turn over manually? Could it be loaded on a pallet? I will try to reach you later today.

Hi: I have not turned the engine over, it has been sitting in the car in dry storage in Denver for about 20 years. Loading it on a pallet sounds sort of far out, the engine and transmission probably weigh in excess of 650 lbs I am guessing. The engine is still in the engine bay, it bolted to the original mounts, and there I left it. I am now restoring the car and will take the front end off, only if you want the engine. Otherwise I want to leave it on to fit it as I am putting together a hood which is a devil of a job.

I'm sure the engine is good it turned over when I bought it and came out of a running car.
