Title: 37 LaSalle fuel pump
Post by: CadDad on December 05, 2018, 08:10:15 AM
Hello, almost done with the rebuilt engine install. Everything going well and now on to the little things. One is regarding the fuel pump. I notice an inlet on one side that seems to have a little vacuum on it. Most pictures I see have a hose attached to this.Is this just a little breather, and if so should it have a little filter or screen on it? Thanks.

I'm not too good with posting pictures, but the fuel pump has an inlet an outlet and a third connection. Looking at pictures on google , they show a hose (usually) running down below view coming from the third connection. The next time I'm in the shop ,I'll take a pic and see if I can post it.

Your correct pump should in fact have 4 connections. Fuel in and out, and vacuum in and out.
