Title: 1979-1989 Red Steering Wheel
Post by: Cadillac Fleetwood on December 10, 2018, 03:33:58 PM
Red steering wheel from 1980 Coupe deVille. Wheel fits Eldorados, Sevilles, Fleetwoods, DeVilles. Wheel has no cracks, laminate is flat and intact, only the tiniest of blemishes.

Woodgrain rim insert looks 1979 to me.

Thanks, Eric.
I know each of the wood grains for the 1969-78, inclusive, but don't know all the later ones that well.

'79 was one-year only simulated walnut burl which is what I think you've got there.

1980-1985 was teak(?) or something similar (exc FWD DeVille).

Eric, I know that you "know" all this stuff, but how many of us, needing a red wheel, would really care all that much? It would be so nice to drive along and not have your fingers sneak over to the torn and lifted spots on the wheel and "mess with it." I have two cars with mint wheels and they feel so nice and smooth and solid.

Again, thanks for knowing the difference, (and reinforcing my belief that the 1979 Cadillac is simply the best.)
