Song : Macklemore, “White Walls†....not for everyone, but it is a tribute to all Caddy’s!
New Year’s Day on my sunny Island today in 80* weather. This video was taken two years after I paid for the rustiest, ugliest, biggest and smelliest car I’d ever heard of, sight unseen on eBay. It limped into my driveway two months later and the work began.
It’s not complete, but what is left is very minor compared to the full body-off it has gone through. The car, just like the song, isn’t for everyone, but individuality is the spice of life.
Enjoy!

Black is a hard colour to get right, but she's laser straight and the paint looks a mile deep. I bet that paint job wasn't for the faint of wallet.
Thanks Dan! 8)
She is a good looker, but far from perfect. I did all the paint and body myself, and it’s the first car I ever restored. When I sell it I will honestly show off the few imperfections, bc I’m still proud of it, defects and all ;D
I did find out first hand why all my body shop quotes were between $25k and $45k, dependent on how much work I did myself :o

It's like a wart on a beautiful face.
;D Yes, you are right! The 5ga tank does not have the capacity to air up both front bags to about 100-120psi and the rears to about 130 without the compressor recharging it, so this car could fare well with 2 5ga tanks.
The typical place to hide these tanks is up on the shelf in the trunk, but that space is occupied by my rear hvac unit. The big boy shops will weld up a one-off 10ga tank that forms to all the inner structure and can be concealed easier than one awkward cylinder.....that’s really cool trick stuff!
Just a killer build, I read all the posts and attachments, looked at all the pics.
Love how you kept the car very true to its roots but added just enough funk to make it 'cool'.
As I said, sexy and sinister. I can't believe you'd sell it...
Also loved the info on the original owners, that's very cool.
Are there actually 4 legs going to the + of the battery? :o
Battery or child sized nuclear reactor?
Very cool car, a LOT of work, very nicely done.

Well thanks Bentley and Laurie! You actually made me go look at some 2yr old pics and take a trip down memory lane 8) It’s hard to navigate the pics on that site, and I’m glad you did...it’s worth it!
The 5 leads off the right batt (+) go to the rear, alt, starter and left batt (I think, it’s been awhile). I wanted to make sure this car would NEVER have any low voltage gremlins. I will sell it.... when the price is right >:D
