Title: 1932 370B mirrors etc
Post by: Valts on July 28, 2019, 04:46:33 PM
Hi everybody!

A good friend and customer of mine bought a 1932 Cadillac 370B Imperial Limousine V12 two years ago. The car runs and drives nicely but unfortunately its missing both rearview mirrors that should be mounted on a spare wheel covers.
Would like to buy these or looking for info where to find them.

Also interested in a correct luggage case that should be mounted on the luggage rack behind the car.

If anything available please contact me via PM or vallo.kylviemail addresses not permitted
The owner of the car is not very fluent in english thats why I`m helping out.
I also tried to ad picture of the car but there was some trouble with image size etc.  But its the very same car that can be seen here.

Pete Sanders makes them. http://www.classicautoandmachine.com/ They were an option as were the covers. The build sheet will tell you what came with the car from the factory.

Thanks!
I will ask from there.

Where I could get the build sheet for that car?

The build sheet will cost about $50 from  the GM Heritage Center.  Along with the accessories, color, interior, etc. it will tell you when it was completed and shipped and to what city, but that's about it.  I have a few 32 parts...a radiator/grille shell and a few other items.  I'm looking for a window crank handle because I think the chromer lost one of the little spring/lock assemblies. Could also use some good, correct wiper arms.  Hoping to drive her around the block this weekend!

Ken,
I have two original Cadillac trunks with the Cadillac identification plate. Both are in need of some tlc but either would look nice on the V-12. If you’d like, I could send you some photos of them.

Bob,
I have a friend with two accessory trunks similar to the one that I have on my 32 phaeton.  I'll see if he has some mirrors as well.  He wasn't at his place today, but I'll try to stop by again on Tuesday.

We got a nice trunk for Imperial thanks to board member who sent me an ebay find and my friend bought it.
We also have one offer for mirrors but we are not very sure how the correct mirrors should look like.
They fasten to spare wheel cover and are chromed but should there be something engraved to back side of the mirror? Offered mirrors are CADILLAC engraved to back side, but my friend tells there should be cadillac sign/logo instead. Maybe somebody has a original mirror and could take a picture of that.
Car was 1932 V12 Imperial Limousine

Valts,
There is a book you REALLY need to own. 1932 accessories book. It's been reprinted. I think it's red.
I hope you bought the correct 32/33 trunk & not a 30/31 style.

The tire covers were an option and the mirrors were an option. You didn't get both unless they were both ordered:-) I can post a picture of the mirrors and post later.

Here is what 32 mounted on cover would be.
