Would anyone happen to have a bell housing for a 500 engine. Building a engine want to test on stand but not hook up a whole transmission. Any and all help is appreciated thanks.
John
Any manual bellhousing from a '60's/'70'sBuick, Oldsmobile or Pontiac with the same bolt pattern should fit.

How do you separate a bell housing off a Turbo 400? Am I missing something here? ???

I think most bell housing come off manual transmissions. I think the front wheel drive transmissions that bolted to the 500 like in the 76 Eldorado may have came off to it was a automatic though.

Oh dear, forgot about those. I have one here, but not removing it at the moment.

Why not design your stand to bolt to the rear of the block like I did?? I have a pro built test that I'd like to sell but I'm sure logistics would be a problem. I'm near San Jose, Ca.

Bob all i need to do is build a plate on the back with spacers to hold the plate off the fly wheel correct? Can you post a pic of the back of your stand?
Here they are.
