Hi all,
I took apart my 1952 Hydramatic because of heavy slipping and in the course of the disassembly I found that in the rear servo the accumulator piston is scored inside, so I am afraid that the clearance to the compensator piston is not sufficient and I'd like to replace it.
The accumulator piston is in the top right hand corner of the attached picture.
If anyone of you has that part in a box somewhere or the whole of the rear servo in good condition, please let me know at:
HS1940@t-online.de
Thanks
Hilmar.
Unfortunately, my picture was turned upside down in the attaching process. So the item I need is in the bottom left hand corner.
Hilmar, These are the same from 1946-55. PN 8610751 I'll throw up a flare if I run across one. Best, Jeff
Hi Jeff, would be nice if you could unearth a good one. Hilmar.
Did you try the tranny parts guys, like Fatsco, Northwest, etc?
Thanks fishnjim, I emailed Fatsco, Northwest and a few others with my needs and came up with Fatsco as the only one answering. Luckily they have all the parts I need. Expensive but that's nothing new.
Thanks again - Hilmar
Here’s one for sale (not mine):
