Title: Looking for 1941 Series 62 Sedan front coil springs
Post by: 41CaddyTristan on March 03, 2020, 02:26:04 PM
Hello Cadillac enthusiasts,
Does anyone know of a good company to buy front coil springs for my wife's 1941 Caddy? The guy that had it before me said he cut 1 1/2-2 coils and I believe it dropped the front end at least 4 inches and we are bottoming out on driveways and speed bumps. I want to get some aftermarket stock size and cut only one coil in order to drop it a little less. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Thanks,
Mark

Coil Spring Specialtiesâ€" they actually make them to original specs. Made a set for my 1949 just fine. Should put new rubber insulation pads in also. If they don’t have pads try Steel Rubber or Rubber Done Right.

Thanks Jim. I've heard of these guys and I appreciate the advice. Have you ever heard of Eaton Detroit Spring, Inc.?

EATON Detroit Spring is a long time supplier to the industry.  I put their springs on my 41, along with new rubber isolators from Steele.  Fit great, right height just right.
