I am looking for a source for the ribbed floor metal pieces that attach to the carpet under each seat including the rear seats as pictured. The picture is off the internet as an example. Any ideas on a source to help me finish my restoration? Thank you for your assistance.
I assume that you refer to the ribbed aluminum
floor pieces that are on the driver and passenger
side -- two in the front and two in the rear.
They also have rubber inserts between each rib.
They were used in the Eldorado vs. standard floor
mats.
If you need the aluminum mats themselves, to my
knowledge nobody is reproducing them. You will
have to obtain those from a parts car. These are the
same for 1955 and 1956.
If you are fortunate to find a usable set, the rubber
inserts (black only) are reproduced by FEN Enterprises.

I have one (of 4). It is not the driver's, which is different.

I have several sets... and 55's and 56's are different for the drivers side front. I've only had 55's that were black, but I have had several different colors from 56's.
Yes, there were multiple colors available for 1956
for the rubber inserts including, black, red, blue and
green. However, I am not aware of anybody
reproducing those. So it may be a mate of black or
nothing.

I looked through my parts, I have a set of 4 with black ribs. The fronts are the same size, so I believe they are for 1954. If you are interested, let me know.
