On eBay, there's a guy in Long Beach with a long block for $750. I would grab it if I didn't live in Connecticut. My daughter lives in Lafayette, but I'm not sure when I'll be out there again. I'd get it if it were here on the east coast.

This flathead has been on Craigslist for awhile now down in Tucson.  I have no affiliation or any other info.  Good Luck,  KenZ

I just did a quick search on SearchTempest and found these. There may be others out there.

Here's a 1940 LaSalle engine & trans in Barstow, CA. If it is original it will be a 322 cid but can be bored to 346 cid.
