The convertible and the coupe vent window frames are not the same. The coupe has a "notch" at the top to fit the flipper, which is not on the convertible.

Send me a closeup photo of the “notch” or where the notch is located please.

This looks exactly like your, I believe the GM Parts Exchange Manuel states it’s the same as Coupe or Convertible.

Druby,

I can get you a picture of a frame for a coupe tomorrow, if you want one. I didn't see your post until tonight. I don't have one for a convertible though. But to describe the difference, it's on the outside, right at the top. That depression that runs front to back of the frame assembly, that's about an inch and a quarter wide from top to bottom. That depression is so that after the door is closed, the flipper covers the top of the frame. The reason is to prevent the rain from getting behind the frame and leaking into the car.
On a convertible, that flipper is not there, and the frame assembly does not have that depression.
The part number that you are referring to is for the thin metal piece that goes around the glass itself, and yes,  this particular piece is the same for both the coupe and the convertible.
I hope this makes sense to you the way I described it. Since you have one for the coupe, I'm guessing that you have one. If so, picture the convertible with a flipper, and then picture the top folding down. The two are not compatible.
The Sedan Deville, 4 door hardtop, appears identical to the convertible on the outside, but unfortunately it is a quarter of an inch too long at the top edge from front to rear. Because of the way the rear door glass lowers into the door, the front edge of the window is not straight up and down, so to keep the front door vent window division bar parallel with the rear of the door glass, the vent frame was lengthened at the top. That allows the front and rear of the front door window to remain parallel.
I discovered all this when I tried to use a 4 door vent frame for a 2 door coupe.
