Hello all, I performed a vacuum pump check on my 1961 bendix check valve and it failed. I cannot find a replacement part (#379928), and all of the big box store aftermarket 1961 check valves have a grommet to mount to the booster itself, along with a larger 1/2" outlet: https://www.autozone.com/brakes-and-traction-control/power-brake-booster-check-valve/p/dorman-help-power-brake-check-valve-and-grommet/426092_0_0 (https://www.autozone.com/brakes-and-traction-control/power-brake-booster-check-valve/p/dorman-help-power-brake-check-valve-and-grommet/426092_0_0)
These wouldn't appear to work since my current valve is an inline type with identical 11/32" inlet and outlet: https://www.hiltopautoparts.com/product/nos-mopar-power-brake-check-valve-1961-thru-1966-a-body-models/ (https://www.hiltopautoparts.com/product/nos-mopar-power-brake-check-valve-1961-thru-1966-a-body-models/)
Has anyone had experience replacing these with aftermarket units, and if so, provide a link? See attached photos for some (hopefully) helpful info. Thanks
Sorry I don't have any experience replacing the check valve, but I'm curious how you determined you have a Bendix vs a Delco unit. I have to replace my master cylinder, but don't know what type of booster I have. It's unpainted, but not sure if that's an discriminator. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
