Had a wonderful weekend with the 55 and I was also able to meet another fellow Cadillac enthusiast in Mesa!
Love the pastel colors.
Thanks for sharing! Out of curiosity I looked for info on the Starlite Motel. Turns out the diving lady was almost lost:

Happy Motoring!
Very kewl.
You need to go back at night and get some neon glow pics of the '55.
Gorgeous all, including the Wildcat!
Your 55 is a lovely beast! 8)
Not very nice considering 11 inches of snow is bearing down on Iowa presently. >:(
Today we had my 55 CDV, a Series 62 convertible, and a very lovely 59 Eldo!
All pretty cars. But, a Cadillac should never be displayed with the hood up. Save that for the 'belly-button' and 'muscle cars'.
Should someone ask to see under the hood, then you open it for them.

Yes, instinctively I know you are right John. I only open my hood upon request, then close it again. I am not sure why this "rule" exists, but opening the hood just breaks up the lines (hence artistry) of the car. But what are "belly -button" cars? Clay/Lexi

Everyone has a belly-button.
Mustangs, Chevelles, Corvettes and the like; 'everyone' has these cars.
If you were to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise, Mustang Alley is hosted on Saturday in Ferndale on the south end of the event.
They usually have over 1000 Stangs on display plus there are many, many more cruising Woodward Avenue.
Thanks Sue. Now that makes sense. Clay/Lexi
The owner had it open as he was showing his engine off to someone who asked. Here is it with the hood closed.
That's a real beauty! :o Nice color too.

And every one of them has their hood up.
Beautiful '59. My butt is black and blue from me kicking myself for selling mine. Until I have a liquid million in cash, they are out of reach for me now.

Turns out the diving lady was almost lost:
As folks started realizing just how much was being lost, we actually created a Neon Museum in Las Vegas to preserve the signs.
So many are displayed now in a plaza off of Fremont street, some on the street (now closed to vehicles), a couple on Las Vegas Blvd. itself, and there is also a lot with more displayed but unmounted.
WOW!
Nice 55....
