Title: Transmission pan gasket
Post by: falpunz on July 21, 2022, 02:10:26 AM
Looking for a transmission pan gasket for a 1941 Series 63. Any suggestions where to look? I can only find for 1946.

Thank you.

If you cannot locate the proper gasket, I have used Loctite 509 for gaskets that are keeping Auto Transmission Fluid in.

Most other gasket eliminators get fried by Auto Trans Fluid.

The cover plate on the Morse Chain on the back of my TH425 hasn't leaked a drop since I used it to replace the Gasket that I couldn't get.   In this case, there is a lot of centrifugal pressure from the oil as the chain operates at engine speed.

I got mine from Mike at Cadillac Parts Ltd. It was for 1941 manual transmission.

I have a 1941 Series 63 with a Hydra-Matic. I purchased a Transmission pan gasket and a drain plug gasket from Northwest Transmission Parts. Paid about $35 with shipping in 2021.
