Post by: Ptobias on September 03, 2023, 10:01:03 AM
What should a trim tag look like for a 1962 eldorado convertible with bucket seats and where would it be located
Thanks
Paul

Open the hood and it should be on the top of the driver's side cowl. Can't miss it.

Here's tag for a 1962 Series 62 Convertible (62-6267). Eldorado will be 62-6367. Top left is build date, FW is body number (model specific), TRIM, PAINT and TOP codes and ACCY codes list optional equipment items installed at the body plant (not all options however).

Provide a picture of the tag and we will decode it for you.

I believe The trim number should be followed with a "B" if a factory bucket seat option, there is a chrome floor vent between the seats.

I had a series 62 convertible with factory buckets, no console.
