Title: Positive Battery Cable
Post by: gkhashem on November 25, 2023, 06:11:54 PM
Caddy Daddy has a reproduction that is red?  Is that correct? I thought the battery cables were all black.

Of course it's expensive but is it correct?

My original 61 was black. But neither my Fleetwood or series 62 parts car had a spring style clamp that I have heard people say are original.

I think my series 62 was replaced. But I do not see any reason to doubt that my Fleetwood is original. But they may have just replaced the ends.

My original 1958 battery cables are black. I sincerely doubt Cadillac changed the color two years later. How have you been?

I like to go at least 1ga, especially on the starter lead. Money and effort well spent on this.

there is a custom battery cable fabrication place online, you can specify the ends you want, length, gauge and color. At Reasonable price.

Thanks for comfirming what I thought I have a very original car. I also had a very original 1959 and they were black.

My cables are just getting harder to get tight.
