Title: Fuel pump lines.
Post by: 914Driver on August 17, 2024, 10:52:26 AM
My 1940 La Salle had a 322 engine, bad block.  I bought a 346, bored it clean, new pistons, rings etc.  (it's now a 352 c.i.)  My issue du jour is the fuel pump has more holes than I have tubes.

Looking at the photo, the tube on the top right comes from the tank, one at the top center goes to the carb; lower level left with the copper goes to the intake manifold, who plugs into the lower right fitting?

My vacuum advance is plumbed to the bottom front of the carburetor.

Thanx, Dan

That should go to the wipers. In most cases it comes up and under the manifold to the rear of the engine turns up with a rubber line through the firewall.

Geez, thanks Harry.  Forgot about the wipers.
