Wow!
I think its the real mileage by the underwood condition.

John,
I agree. All the usual wear points look legit. My only question would be the carpet. It appears to be loop pile and almost all Cadillacs into the 70's had cut pile.
That is odd about the carpeting. What is interesting is that this very car was part of the Thomas Cadillac collection that was auctioned in April 1996. I was at that sale and purchased a 78 Custom Classic Biarritz that was offered.
At the time of the sale the Fleetwood had 6,043 miles and sold for $9800 plus 10%.....I recall seeing the car at various SoCal events thru the years. I can't say I recall the carpeting though
The carpeting is a mystery. Perhaps a replacement.
Or...was it possible to order loop carpeting in place of cut pile in 1969?
I prefer loop myself.
I ended up with this car. The carpet reminds me of my 1970 Cadillac I purchased in 1980. It does not look replaced either. so quandary and I had the heritage send me the build sheet and nothing is noted. I do not have the 69 data book. The oddest thing is the covers behind the interior door handles, all 4, are black and not the trim color (aqua) anyone know if that was standard? Debating on painting them to match.
It must be a late model year build. The fuel gauge is a 1970 style gauge. 1969 had the 'waterfall' style gauge and it has body side moulding. That wasn't offered on the Fleetwood.
Had mine been that color, I'd still have it.
Nice interior!
Beautiful car!
Another oddity is the 1970 body side molding which may have been another late production change. Also, the vinyl insert in the molding appears to be body color rather than matched to roof color.
