Bryan,
Always appreciate your offerings... and yes, your "?" mark is well justified. Having owned a '72 during the mid 80's through early 90's, I can attest to their durability... everything was well made, with quality materials, and lasting ... the achilles heals were water pumps, alternators,starters... and the final weak link the timing gears that put them in the junk yards. I think they were the last Cadillacs to have all metal front grilles, and without many anti- pollution devices were extremely powerful with extraordinary torque. (They also had terrible gas mileage).
