I can't believe not a single response. I guess the "buyers" can't access the forum to respond.

This forum is in my opinion more for entertainment.  There are few serious buyers here.  I'm not even sure where you should advertise except the SS. Generally CLC members have the income to buy your car.  Facebook marketplace will bring a lot of "Is It Available " BS.  I've seen a couple of nice 70s Cadillacs on there - for years never selling or forgotten ads.

Greg, Bryan has a point, however you may want to post a few photos of the engine compartment, driver's side door panel, front dash, and passenger side door panel, and the rear quarter extensions to let the other members know what great shape your car is in. Shots of the back seat are nice but what does the front compartment look like. Just a suggestion. Also, say something about the work you have done on her, I know you keep your cars in top shape but many other members may not know that. Good luck with the sale it is a great color. Also did you replace the base trim around the vinyl top as I had not seen stainless in that area?

Front seat leather was done when the back seat but my wife wanted cloth so the shop made a slip over that has never been removed. Pain in the butt too R &R cover so. If that is a sticking point for a serious sale can do. Dash has a cap on it. Not advertised as a show car but probably one of the most dependable 76 daily driver

WOW. If I were in the market I'd buy it.

That seems to be the problem with ads on the forum today. The only people that can answer are members and most of us have everything we need

While this forum might seem like the perfect target audience, it seems like the number of people on here regularly is actually fairly small, and represents a very small percentage of CLC membership. Also, many of us seem to have reached equilibrium with our collections. We have cars we love, and we've had them for a while, and while there's always a couple of cars we have an eye out for, we're not actively shopping. It seems like a lot of other people only turn up on here when they have a particular need or question. Which is a long way of saying I'm not surprised that you're not getting responses here.

It's too bad, really. Because most of us are the kind of people you would want to buy a car from- knowledgeable, committed hobbyists. And if you've been here for awhile, you've either met others at a GN or other event, or at least "know" each other online, which is more than you can say about the buyers or sellers you encounter other places. While it was never advertised, I bought a car from a member who I still have never met, based on the advice and opinions of several other members who were familiar with it (and in one case had judged it) and who I had either met in person or knew from here.

David's analysis is excellent, and I, too, have had great experiences purchasing from and selling to CLC members.  Additionally, I've noticed a "generational shift" in non-essential, expensive hobbies, with many  younger folks less interested in vintage collectables, and for those who are collecting vintage cars, most have little interest in Cadillacs, where the automotive press has, for decades, denigrated the brand and disparaged the owners, so that more recently, getting from 0 to 60 in record time becomes the major crucible of interest for attracting potential purchasers.   I'd much rather have Greg's car rather than the vintage American cars that sell for extraordinary prices at Barrett-Jackson auctions
