Title: 1966 Cad Wire hanging down

Happy Thanksgiving. All opf a sudden this wire is hanging down under the dash.  Anyone one knows what it is and where it goes?

This looks like a plug that would plug into the radio.

Hanging that low, in that area, i would look around your steering column. But a black cased 3 wire is questionable. Maybe someone has a wire diagram that can help.

If you look at the image with a laptop or a screen that you can enlarge, it looks like it may be the plug for the overdrive relay or the overdrive kickdown switch connector.

Best to either be a contortionist and see if you can see anything under the dash or try going through all of the things in the car to see what doesn't work now that did before.

That sure looks like an audio style plug to me.
