Title: floor carpeting
Post by: Gary Blakeslee on January 09, 2025, 08:49:47 PM
I am ready to install the carpet in a 1947Cadillac convertible and need a layout of how the carpet is cut to enable a person to check the transmission fluid.  Would someone have a pattern diagram of the front carpet?  thank you Gary B.

I'd look in the Directory and find other members who have '47 ragtops, who they've used, etc, etc, etc.

I saw on eBay a carpet set for a 1946 Buick super but my buddy told me he order it and said it was too narrow.
If you end up buying any already cut cuts confirm the width.  The big body Buicks should be very close the Cadillac.

Also in under the impression convertibles use the rubber mat with carpet inserts in the front and traditional carpet in the rear.

The rubber mat shows up on eBay once in a while. It's pricey like 400 bucks for an old Nos part.   It's the Bobs automobilia Matt for a 1939 Buick I punched.  It's always out of stock on his site and don't think  the make it anymore.

I'm gonna be shopping for carpet and really want the rubber mat in my convertible.
