Title: 1940 La Salle, 2 door convertible
Post by: EdJr on February 10, 2025, 12:59:04 PM
Good morning,

I am a member of the Sonoran Desert CLC, Scottsdale, AZ. We have recently added a '40 La Salle convertible to our present '41 Cadillac Series 62 4 door convertible.

Will be starting a head to toe exam of the La Salle shortly, and am reaching out, in advance, to the members to see if you can recommend one or more sources for body parts, interior parts and any mechanical/engine related pieces we may require.

(At the moment looking for the radio)

Congrats on your new acquisition!

Do you have THE book for LaSalles?

This club is about the best source there is for body, interior and mechanical parts.  Steele Rubber Products sells very high quality weatherstripping and other rubber parts.  Post questions and you will get good answers from very knowledgeable people here.  The '40 LaSalle is one of my favorites.  Make sure to post pictures!

Post a list of your specific needs. There are not many vendors left who deal in pre war Cad/Las parts anymore. Networking within the Cadillac and Lasalle club remains a good source.

Post a picture of your Lasalle and what you plan to do with it.

I need to head to the next Sonoran chapter event.  Last time I saw any of those members was over 3 years ago at Rhodium 45 for an event.
