I know they have a great reputation and I've seen their work from number of years ago, but I'm wondering if they've still "got it" in terms of quality?
Dave, In a way, I helped start the business as I sold Mr. Jenkins several dealer upholstery books way back when. Everything I've ever heard points to the firm doing its very best to replicate the original fabrics and leather used in your Cadillac or LaSalle. Of course, time has passed, and lower interest in older cars might have affected any business's ability to stay in business. But I would bet that their commitment to quality would not have changed.
Thanks, Barry. I know one big change was when Mr. Jenkins passed away. I understand that his son has taken over the business. On a local level I'm aware of several local businesses where they the next generation has taken over and service/quality has not been kept up, and I hope that hasn't happened here.
Sadly the son (Hill) passed away about a year or so ago. I have not heard if the business has or will continue. Harry
I heard today that one of the employees has taken over the shop. That's all I know.
