Title: 1938 lasalle horn button
Post by: 35672 on May 02, 2025, 04:25:23 PM
I am helping put together a 1938 lasalle convertible.  the car was disassembled 20 years ago and parts scattered
everywhere.   I am trying to get the horn button put together and think i am missing parts.
does anyone have an assembly  diagram of the button?  I have found a 37 button pic and a 41 pic and neither look like what I have.

Hello, do you have a shop manual for 1938? I think there will be a blowup diagram of the steering wheel/horn button. There is such a picture in the 1939 and 1940 books. Shop manuals for prewar cars are available as reproductions from Faxon Auto Literature and other vendors. maybe ebay.

I looked in my parts book and you are right, there is only a picture for 1937 and 1941.

Thanks for the response,  I couldn't find a 38 manual and i understood that the 37 and 38 cars were the same.  does anyone have 38 manual that I could get a picture of the horn layout?
