Title: Hole under cowl/ps fender into evaporator area

Anyone know what this hole is for and if its supposed to be plugged/covered? Passenger side,1960 CDV.

I'd like to know as well. When the fender was first removed, it was just an open hole.

Mine is non ac so this is a guess, but could it be for the power antenna cables?

Mine is an AC car, and it's not for the antenna in any way.

I couldn't find any reference to it so I sealed it with a plastic cap and some butyl tape.
