Title: 1951 Cadillac Differential Vent

Can anyone confirm the vent slot is the area circled in red on the attached pic of the 1949 the same location on a 51?

Looks like it. I would suspect it being in the  middle, just behind the brake line clip.

When that hole gets clogged up with dirt it is sometimes hard to see.  If so, you can clean it out with a small screwdriver.

I found the vent hole. Full of dirt. Pic is borrowed but this is where it's at. Exactly under the brake line tab. Small hole about 1/4 to 3/8".
