The front passenger side tire is going bald from the body outwards. All the other tires are fine. I'm thinking that the camber is off since it's from just inboard of center to the outside. This makes me think k it's the camber. Looking under the fender I see a many "fingered" plate and I'm thinking this is attached to a concentric mechanism to pull or push the top of the tire. I notice that this setting is different then the drivers side.
Does anyone here know for sure if this is for setting the camber and the procedure needed to bring the top of the tire in?

Years ago I had trouble with another make big classic front end. I found that truck garages who are use to solid axles know just what to do with them to make them right.

There are some things that are different on Cadillacs from a standard I-Beam front axle.
The steering Modulator At the end of the front spring That is used to reduce/eliminate shimmy and wondering. Be sure it has no broken springs.
The king pins run in Ball bearings ,not bushings like most I-Beam axles. They need to be checked like wheel bearings, Do you know how? I don't. Hopefully it is easy like wheel bearings! Remember these are ball ,not tapered bearings.
There was a change in the axle angle from 1930 to 1931. From 10 1/4 degrees to 8 1/2 degrees. Be sure the parts are not mixed. Easier said than done. The Oct 15,1930 Serviceman says that they are now stamping axles and spindles with 8 and 10,to keep from mix ups.But what about the parts on cars? This could be changing caster.

I ran this car a lot in the past 12 years. This tread wearing problem seems to have started a year or two ago. This makes me think something changed beside the setting on the top of the kingpin.
