Title: Seat cover replacement
Post by: Steve W on August 08, 2025, 05:33:55 PM
I still have my wild leopard print blankets covering my seats because I can't really decide which way to go!

My back seat is still pretty nice...a little sun fade on the top of the back, but still nice. (see pic)

But I can't find anything that even looks close to 385 Antique Medium Saddle leather for the front seat. I contacted SMS for a sample, but no reply. And the pic on their site wasn't exactly encouraging anyway.

So, just wondering if any of you have the same color interior and what did you do?

I guess the other option would be to change both front and back seat covers (kind of a waste of the nice back seat leather though!). Wouldn't match the sides and door cards though.  I just haven't seen anything close to the original color that would work.

Ideas?

You cannot get a leather color by name. They are custom color dyed per hide. So you need to find a color sample and send it to a leather supplier to color match.

The last one David King reached out to order we actually used paint chips to find a color to color match to. Then you have grain and gloss to select from.

You will definitely want to send a sample to be matched. Custom Leather Finishers did an excellent match from a sample for me recently.
