Title: 78 "Hillcrest" limo
Post by: bruce joslen on January 08, 2005, 08:46:53 PM
hi,  Im  a  member  of  the  New Zealand  club,
and  have  just  imported  a  78  Fleetwood  limo
out  of  Nevada  with  additions  by  "Hillcrest"
including  a  large  Rolls  type  grille, tinted
glass, wire wheels  and a horizantal continental
kit.  Ive  been  net searching  Caddys  for  over
two  years  now  and  have  not  seen  another
 like  it.
Does  anyone  know  of  these  conversions,  or
have any  information  on  them?  It  came  out of
Beverly Hills  originally  and  has "Dixon Cadillac"
 labels  under  the  hood.
Any  assistance  would  be  really  appreciated.
         Happy  new  year,
                          cheers,
                                 Bruce.

While I am not by any means an expert on this matter, it sounds like you have a dealer modified car.

These were quite popular in the 70s and Cadillacs were the biggest target. Cadillac really never authourized such modifications and they were soly undertaken by the selling dealer. As such, information on them is hard to find.

Maybe "Hillcrst" was the selling dealer, and if they are still in operation, they could shed some light on the modifications on your car.
