Is original upholstery material for 1966 Fleetwood available? How do I determine color and fabric code?

Original Auto Interiors and SMS both had original NOS Covington cloth for my 61, so they might also have 66 material. They are both on the web, or I can dig through my junk box and find their phone numbers. If you post the trim code from your data plate, we can tell you your interior type, and a host of other fun information.

Here are their websites:

http://www.smsautofabrics.com/

http://www.originalauto.com/

If you write to either of them with your fabric type and color, they will send you small samples (if they have it)for your inspection. My samples looked somewhat dull and lifeless, but when the fabric arrived, it was vibrant and attractive. You can see the result at:

clicking on the New Upholstery album.

The yardage was somewhat expensive, compared to the price of some modern generic replacement fabric, but if you want originality (as I did), the cost will soon be forgotten as you enjoy your beautiful new correct interior.

You can try FEN Enterprises in New York. They have some rolls of original upholstery fabric. www.fenenterprises.com

Jim,

Nice job on the 62 CDV, I went through the same process on my 66 CDV except I have the dreaded vinyl top. My interior is leather, only the front seat needs some repair work.
