Title: 225-75SR-15

Gday R again,

The tyres on my 60 CDV are Bridgestone 225 75SR 15 and although they seem to have a high profile, they really set the car off.   They can take any sort of bump in the road without causing damage, and handle the mass of the car with ease.

And, there is no problem with removing them from the rear axle if necessary.

I thought 235 75R15s were the replacement size for L78-15.

Title: One would have to check for room at the rear

David,

They might be, but I have found that the 225s on my car perform really well, and I think at the time I purchased then, 14 years ago, I am not sure if 235s were even available.

And, I woulsnt be surprised if 235s will be difficult to remove through the space that is available in the 59/60 rear fender opening.
