Title: 1952 Cadillac "gold-work"
Post by: Michael Carson on March 03, 2005, 06:10:07 PM
I need to have some trim replated on my 52 6219 Sedan. I know the hood and trunk V is gold. Are the crests above the V gold-framed also? Any other items that should be re-golded rather than re-chromed?
Thanks,
Mike Carson
Oakland, CA
(I dont have my CLC # at work with me at the moment.)

Mike,

The metal frame that forms the crest as well as the emblems on the sides of the grille below the headlights all also gold plated.
HTH,
Ralph

I looked at a 52 to buy and the guy had brand new emblems in gold. I know you can still buy them im trying to find out where for you,i know they cost $900.00 for all of them.He got them out of a catalog for cadillacs.
